The laser is placed straight over the injured area for anywhere from 30 seconds to several minutes, depending upon the severity of the injury.
The light emitted from the laser passes through the layers of the skin and enters the target area. Cells absorb the light energy causing a sequence of events that can eventually result in normalizing the damaged nerves or tissue as well as reduce the pain and inflammation, accelerating the overall healing process.
